1. Access Control Software (Communication Server) display controller communication failure?
1.1. Check sees whether RS-485/232 converter has been powered up; the 9pin connecter had been plugged into computer serial port. If the keyboard wedges power supply is not stable or lower than 4.75V, consider to connect external power supply.
1.2. Check computer's parameter setting; Port number, baud rate and etc.
1.3. Check that the controller has been added in the management software and the Device ID is tally to the Device ID set on the device; make sure there is no duplicate ID. (Device ID by factory default is set to 1).
1.4. Check whether controller is functioning normally as in display panel showing time or status, and controller will response to key press.
1.5. Check the communication link between PC and converter.
1.6. Check whether any RS-485 line fault that interfere presence of communications.
2. Why cannot open door after flashing card?
2.1. Has card been registered and assigned to controller? If LCD display "Invalid Card", means card is yet to register.
2.2. Are the controller and reader being connected correctly? When flashing card, Card ID should be display on the LCD. If using wiegand connection, make sure that power supply to reader and controller has to be ground.
2.3. Check and confirm reader had been registered to controller. If using RS-485 to connect readers, make sure that reader ID is set in sequence no repentance.
2.4. Is the time zone setup correctly?
2.5. Is the group setup correctly?
2.6. Is the controller in the state of holiday control?
2.7. Check if the door relay light is turned on after flashing
card. If relay light is on and door still not open, check
power to electronic lock and relay whether is connected
correctly.
