SKEPS Enterprise Platform for Security System
The SmartKey Enterprise Platform for Security System (SKEPS) is specially designed to fulfill today's increasing demand of high security and automation control management system. It is the central management, monitoring and control platform for entire corporate security and access control.
SKEPS resides on Microsoft Windows operating systems and is developed in Microsoft .Net platform leverage client server architecture and message queuing MSMQ technology to guarantee message delivery, efficiency routing, security and priority-based messaging.
SKEPS with numerous integrated subsystems include Door Access Control, Real-time Monitoring, Human Tracking, Time Attendance, Guard Tour, Video and others IBMS systems etc. providing a totally seamless management solution. Support Multi-Tenant
SKEPS is the first to introduce "owner" and "tenants" management concept.
It supports multiple companies sharing the same security management platform, yet manages security of the property that is pertinent only to them, without viewing other divisions.

Using 3-tier architecture, module-based application for unlimited expansion
SKEPS uses latest message queuing MSMQ technology, compromising data exchange technology and .Net programming technology in the middle layer and uses 3-tier architecture, guarantee data exchange between application modules and hardware equipment accurate, reliable and in order. Through the allocation of priority, it ensures critical data is upload and release. E.g. Alarm event from controller will be able to jump queue and have it display to the monitoring station; real-time operation such as remotely open door to set with a higher priority level.
Through "Command Centre", clients can be easily
monitored and managed achieving centralized control and
unified management.
SKEPS supports multiple Communication Server, particularly suitable for international based company that has branches around the world. Each location needs to have a Communication Server installed, the data can then be easily consolidate and transmitted to server at the headquarter.

User Friendly Graphical Interface
SKEPS features configuration wizards and templates to support
the ease of new system installation. Configuration wizards
enable access controlled doors and new hardware to be quickly
and easily configured in SKEPS while Template functionality
allows a standard configuration to be applied to sites with
common requirements.

Privilege distribution, easy and convenient; data
is timely feedback
Under general operation using SKEPS, user will no longer facing the difficult to understand jargon like "controller", "access control group", its all being replace by the concept of "door". For each individual or group of workers, assignment is based on which door the person is allowed access to. Assignment is real-time download to the controller. If there is a network failure, SKEPS will immediately receive failure notice from Communication Server and opt to download the setting again.
If there is a need to find out a person is being assigned
to which door or a door is assigned to whomever, SKEPS is
capable to provide fast retrieval of such information and
have it print out. SKEPS no longer require long and tough
training.
Large storage capacity and unlimited user setup
SKEPS is designed to accommodate high capacity data storage demand by introducing the use of either Microsoft SQL Database or Oracle Database depending on system requirements. SmartKey SKEPS places no limits on the number of client workstations or operators that may be set up.
Base on the calculation of 40 times card swapped per day, a "Communication Server" is able to handle the load of 12,960 workers. Increase number of "Communication Server" simultaneously will increase the workers capacity.
Compatible with all SK series controllers
Smartkey strictly believe in top down designing concept, let all SK series controllers and time clock compatible to work on new or old software management system, doesn't matter if it is traditional RS-485 controller or TCP/IP controller or fingerprint time clock or telephone entry system. SKEPS let all SK series products communicate via RS-485 or TCP/IP network join up to become a digital security management platform.
